16 young Chinese students were offered Euler Awards by the Embassy of Switzerland in Beijing in a ceremony on April 23, 2007 at the Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing.
The Euler Award was given to 16 young Chinese students. With this
award, the students can participate at ICIAM07 and visit several
institutions in Switzerland. During this Euler ceremony, a lecture on
Euler
was presented by Rolf Jeltsch, Congress Director ICIAM07.

The 50th Ludwig Prandtl Memorial Lecture will be held by Professor Timothy J. Pedley, F.R.S., G.I.Taylor Professor of Fluid Dynamics, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, England.

The Ludwig Prandtl Memorial Lecture has been created by the DGLR (= German Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics) and the
GAMM (=International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics) to commemorate Ludwig Prandtl (1875 - 1953). It will be held on Wednesday, 18 July 2007 from 7.15 - 8.15 pm.
